Sonogram

The sonogram went well! The heartbeat is good and strong at 160 bpm. The baby is measuring a little bigger than my previous due date of Nov. 4th, (now Oct. 31st) and they said it is always good at this stage when the babies are measuring bigger, it means they are growing strong and healthy.

On a funny side note: The lady doing the sonogram started laughing a little and she said I just thought this was funny and pointed out that the baby was all stretched out chilling and had it's legs crossed at the ankles. I laughed too because I seem to have babies that do that. In fact Lukas even did it after he was born he would naturally sit with his ankles crossed. I even took a picture about 5 months old because it was so cute he continued to do it. I have a sonogram picture of Dani doing the same thing! LOL...I don't know why but all three of my kids seem to cross their legs at the ankles, guess this little baby belongs in our family for sure.

Appt.

Today I have an appt. with the HR (High Risk) Doctor's at St. Luke's. I am always very nervous right before every sonogram I just hold my breath until they see a heartbeat and tell me everything is ok. I did that the entire pregnancy with Dani as well, I hate that I know my pregnancies are high risk. I know it's important to be followed by the Doctors but it also makes me very worried the entire time. My pregnancies are very much about making it "just one more week." So far Luke was fine the whole time, but I didn't know I was considered high risk with him. Dani was induced 3 weeks early for low amniotic fluid, but she's ok. So, right now I have a great track record and everything should be ok with this next baby as well, I just worry.

I'll post sonogram pictures today after the appt. :o)

A little about us

I thought I'd start out this blog with a snap shot of the entire family :o) I love this picture taken by Jennifer from LTM Photography (http://www.ltmphotography.com/) I can't wait to have her take another family picture after this new baby is born.
Josh and I have been married for almost 8 years (July 13th, 2001), it's weird that sometimes it seems so short and others it seems that we've been married forever.
Lukas is our first bundle of joy, he was born 12/21/05 and is quite the 3 year old now. He loves being a super hero and here's one of the stories:
I had just gotten Luke in the car to go somewhere and I said, "Hey Luke thanks for coming with me today." He replied, "No problem, it's my job." I laughed and asked, "It's your job?" and he replied, "Yea I have to come with you and keep you safe, I'm a Superhero, it's my job."
It's one of my favorite stories, and one of the reasons I guess I gave into starting a blog. I realized that I'm not a good journal keeper (I've tried many times) my hands seem to hurt quickly but I seem to be able to type quickly and my hands don't hurt as much typing. I figure it will be a good "look back" someday and I am seeing now that you can make like a year journal with your blogs...so that's cool.
Today's story wasn't so sweet, he told Josh and I he wanted to return us, me to the "Mommy store" and Josh to the "Daddy store" we're not sure where he got this idea...but he wasn't so nice this morning.
Danileigh is our second bundle of joy. She was born 12/28/07...yes they are 2 years, one week and 51 minutes apart!! And of course throw Christmas in the middle! Seeing as we had to do fertility treatments to do both, it wasn't like we didn't know it was a possibility.
Dani is a sweet cuddly girl...well for mommy anyway. She is just starting to walk and I love the first unsteady steps a baby takes. She's getting better every day and I hope that I can capture some of the early walking on video before it's too late. Once she gets to you she has a tendency to lay her head down on your lap or once you pick her up she snuggles you neck a little...but then watch out she wants down! She is one wiggly baby...it's like trying to wrestle a greased pig when you try to change her diaper. She is also quite funny when Daddy or Aunt Missy try to "get her" she gets super excited and tries to climb up my shoulder to get away from them. It was nice to see her bond with Aunt Missy over Nate's baptism weekend because we don't get to see that side of the family but maybe twice a year.
Our third bundle of joy is expected around Nov. 6th (I know you thought I was going to say December!) We are not going to find out the sex of the baby we want it to be a surprise. This baby was a surprise, we didn't do fertility treatments this time (what do Dr's know!!) but we are excited (and a little overwhelmed to be truthful). This pregnancy has gone pretty smooth so far, but my pregnancies are considered high-risk so I will be going to the Dr and getting sonogram every 3-4 weeks to check for blood clots. I like my new Dr's and also the Midwife I plan to use (if everything stays low risk for the birth). I'm excited about this baby's birth, I have such peace and joy surrounding those thoughts.
Well that's a little bit to get you started. I hope I won't bore anyone to tears, if so stop reading!

I guess I've been sucked in

Well it seems that everyone I know has a blog. I do see that it is a good way to let a lot of people know what's happening in day to day life, so I'm jumping on the band wagon, a little late, but better late than never.

Hopefully I'll get the hang of this soon and maybe even enjoy doing it.
